The Dolphin Quest Documentary is a short film project developed in collaboration with The Kahala Resort.
It explores the quiet empathy that exists between humans and dolphins — beyond the surface of entertainment, diving into care, trust, and connection.
The goal is to portray the bond shared between trainers and dolphins in an authentic, emotional way — reminding us that respect and understanding can transcend species.
Filmed entirely on-site at The Kahala Resort’s Dolphin Lagoon, this project combines candid interviews with trainers, environmental soundscapes, and natural light cinematography.
The intention is to create a documentary that feels intimate, grounded, and poetic — balancing education with emotion.
  • Location: The Kahala Resort, Honolulu, Hawaii
  • Type: Short Documentary
  • Format: 4K | Natural Light | Handheld Cinematic Style
  • Gear: Sony A7III + DJI Mic Mini 2
  • Duration: ~5 minutes
This project is a personal exploration of empathy and presence — using film as a way to bridge the human and natural world.
What began as a photography idea evolved into a deeper narrative: a dialogue between silence, trust, and motion.
“We think we’re teaching them. But in truth, they’re teaching us how to listen.”
